Gujarat gained three points by virtue of taking first-innings lead against host Odisha in their four-day Cooch Behar Trophy u-19 Group-C league match, which ended in a draw at Sunshine ground here today. Odisha settled with one point by conceding a 159-run first-innings lead.
In reply to Gujarat`s first innings total of 501 for eight declared, Odisha were all out for 342. Following on, Odisha were 90 for three in the second essay when teams agreed to end the match. Put into bat, Gujarat overcame early setback to declare their first innings at 501 for eight. In reply, Odisha rode on a half-century each by Amrit Khatua, Sandeep Patnaik and Suman Mohanty to make 342.
